In March 2020, WP13 launched a ‘Survey on training initiatives’ in order to get a overview of the training needs as well as the existing training courses in the field of Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) within the EURAD community. The results of this survey were summarised in D13.1 – List of training needs from Research, Development and Demonstration and Strategic Studies Work Packages [1].
Additionally, WP13 performed a mapping of currently existing available course courses in the field of RWM. To do so, various sources were sought, including previous EURATOM Framework Programmes (FP) and other initiatives developed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Nuclear Energy Agency (OECD-NEA). Courses found were identified, analysed and summarized in deliverable D13.2 – Mapping of available course materials [2]. The complete set of courses is collected in a database and is included in the portfolio of European RWM courses.
In this report, a new analysis of the courses’ portfolio has been done with inclusion of new descriptors linked to the EURAD Roadmap D1.7 Roadmap extended with Competence Matrix [3]. The new portfolio of (historical and ongoing) courses substitutes the previous portfolio [Appendix A]. The identified courses and the EURAD Roadmap have been aligned with the seven EURAD themes and is presented in the appendixes B-H in this report.
