Organisation Description

The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) operates state-of-the-art radiochemical laboratories (types A and C) equipped with advanced infrastructure for the handling and analysis of radioactive materials. Facilities include inert gas glove boxes, integrated ultracentrifuge, liquid scintillation counters, gamma counters, ion chromatography (including coupled with mass spectrometry), gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry, total organic carbon analyzer, automated voltammetry systems, UV-VIS spectrometer, and multipotentiostat for experiments under controlled redox conditions. These laboratories support a wide range of research on radiochemistry, radioactive waste characterization, and related safety assessments.

Potential Type of Collaboration

Sharing of technical expertise; participation in working groups; access to data or facilities; joint research initiatives; training programmes or knowledge transfer activities.

Areas of Collaboration

Radiochemistry research; radioactive waste characterization; development and validation of analytical methods; studies under controlled chemical and redox conditions.
