The method used during this PhD research is based on comparison of tomographic images between dry state and partially saturated state. The results will include detailed spatial and temporal information on wetting and hydromechanical behaviour of small-scale bentonite samples. During this PhD research, further development of the method will be done. Furthermore, the method will be applied in bentonite+water system in a temperature controlled environment.
