Organisation Description

The Radioactive Waste Treatment and Conditioning Plant (STDR) at ICN Romania is responsible for the collection, treatment, and conditioning of radioactive waste generated by TRIGA reactors, the Nuclear Fuel Factory (FCN), the Post-Irradiation Examination Laboratory (LEPI), and other nuclear installations within ICN, as well as from across the country. The plant also develops and implements new equipment and technologies for radioactive waste management. Professional training with practical sessions can be organized within the department, covering areas such as characterization of radioactive waste and treatment and conditioning of radioactive waste in stable matrices.
