The VR-1 training reactor is a light-water, zero power research reactor with enriched uranium providing education of students and training of qualified staff of nuclear industry. The reactor enables measurement of core characteristics, kinetic parameters, study of reactivity thermal feedbacks, and conduct of neutron activation analysis.
