Organisation Description

The High Magnetic Field Laboratory (HLD) at HZDR generates pulsed magnetic fields exceeding 90 Tesla in a 16 mm bore, a capability unique worldwide. The laboratory focuses on modern materials research under high magnetic fields. Key research areas include the investigation of electronic properties of metallic, semiconducting, superconducting, and magnetic materials, with the goal of developing innovative materials for future applications.
