Organisation Description
The José Cabrera Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) is located in the municipality of Almonacid de Zorita, Guadalajara, Spain. It began operation in 1968 and was shut down in 2006. Dismantling and decommissioning activities commenced in 2009.
The NPP hosts an Information Centre, created to provide the public with details on the various phases of the dismantling process. The centre remains open throughout the duration of the project. Standard visits include presentations on Enresa’s experience in decommissioning, an overview of the different phases of the process, and updates on the current status of the project. Technical visits are available upon request.
