Organisation Description

The Laboratory for Radiochemistry conducts low-background radiochemical analyses, including ¹⁴C, ³H, TRU elements, ⁹⁰Sr, and Cs isotopes. It utilises equipment for monitoring nuclear waste repositories (both indoor and in surrounding areas) and measures artificial gamma activity in surface water. The laboratory also assesses properties of materials proposed for nuclear waste immobilisation and analyses a broad range of natural radionuclides, including NORM. Its research is primarily focused on radiation protection and radioactive waste management. The infrastructure is available, on request, for technical visits, internships, and training activities.
