Organisation Description

This laboratory at CIEMAT focuses on the analysis of long-lived radionuclide extraction and the development of novel extraction processes. Research activities include the characterization of spent fuel stability under long-term storage conditions, including precipitation, co-precipitation, species release, and physico-chemical characterization of radioactive waste and barrier materials. The laboratory also investigates the stability of unirradiated fuel in dry-storage conditions.

Potential Type of Collaboration

Sharing of technical expertise; participation in working groups; access to data or facilities; joint research initiatives; training programmes or knowledge transfer activities.

Areas of Collaboration

Research and development on radionuclide extraction processes, spent fuel stability, radioactive waste characterization, and barrier material performance; collaborative projects and knowledge exchange.
