Organisation Description

The Materials and Structural Research Laboratory focuses on traditional building materials such as concrete, wood, and steel, with capabilities for multi-scale testing, structural testing, and characterisation of full-size elements. The laboratory also includes facilities dedicated to waste immobilisation (including geopolymer development) and the study of chemistry-related issues associated with treatments and coatings for building materials.

Potential Type of Collaboration

Sharing of technical expertise; access to data or facilities; joint research initiatives; training programmes or knowledge transfer activities.

Areas of Collaboration

Research and development concerning material science, including concrete, clay, metals, coatings, and plastics/polymers development and performance testing. Collaboration may include joint research, personnel exchange, mobility initiatives, and training activities within these facilities.
