The test facilities at this centre support research and testing of equipment, materials, and procedures for Deep Borehole Disposal solutions. The well technology research centre focuses on borehole sealing, drilling, casing construction, and monitoring. Although nuclear waste disposal is a minor activity, it benefits from the centre’s expertise and equipment derived from the oil & gas, geothermal, and civil engineering sectors.
